Encouraging young people of black heritage into the arts and humanities
The Black Humanities Project is an innovative student-led initiative from UEA intended to increase engagement from students of black heritage in the arts and humanities, where they are currently under-represented.
We worked in close collaboration with student representatives to devise a brand and campaign for the programme, conducting extensive research to understand and develop the right positioning, tone, ethos and messaging that would resonate with the target audience.
We adopted a modern, youth oriented look and feel with powerful typography, a bold colour palette and image strategy. This bold and unapologetic brand and campaign stands out in a market that too often plays it safe, relfecting UEA’s brand values.
